7hr Code-a-thon Challenge

One Scarborough charity could be the lucky owner of a new website following a special digital event.
As part of Digital Scarborough 2010 (DS10) we challenge participants to make a new website from scratch in seven hours – offering their services to a Scarborough-based charity free of charge.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the challenge and skills in the following areas would be appreciated on the day:
- HTML & CSS design
- logo / graphic / branding design
- creative writers / copy writers
- CMS / Backend development (eg joomla)
- Photographers
You will need to bring whatever equipment you possess to do your bit on the day, as we only provide internet access and refreshments to participants. Spectators who want to learn a bit more about the web development process are also welcome to the event.
