BarCamp Scarborough
13th March 2010 @ 9am - 3pm
University of Hull, Scarborough Campus
Digital Scarborough presents BarCamp Scarborough. An event loosely based on the principles of BarCamp, we are looking for people from the world of business and people studying all aspects of computing and digital media to come along and discuss issues and raise ideas with like-minded people.
Held at the University of Hull’s Scarborough Campus, initially there will be eight, twenty minute, slots available per stream to people who have an issue they want to talk about, a piece of technology they want to shower praise upon or simply need a soap-box for that axe they need to grind. We need to get an idea of numbers so if you are thinking of presenting please email the BarCamp team and you will be contacted in due course.
If you do not want to talk, come along anyway and join the debate. There will be a wide range of individuals from the IT, Graphic Design, Education and Web industries which you can interact with. You will only need to bring equipment if your talk depends on it but it is recommended that you bring a laptop along just in case – and don’t forget that mobile phone so you can send tweets whilst at the event!
In order for us to have a rough idea of numbers please register below:
If anyone has problems with booking system or it says it is sold out please email to attend.
