Woodend Creative Workspace
Woodend is a world-class facility specifically intended for the digital, media and creative sectors. Located at the heart of Scarborough’s creative quarter our core product is serviced voice and studio accommodation. Woodend was formerly a natural history museum and before that the marine residence of the famous aristocratic Sitwell family. Today contemporary additions have transformed the site into a unique place to meet, work, network, socialise, relax and dream.
Woodends’ capacity as a technical powerhouse is formidable. The NYnet broadband connection for example provides next generation connectivity to the resident tenants. This is superfast uncontended broadband service enabling businesses at Woodend to seek wider markets and communicate with clients, partners and collaborators far and wide. In addition, the NorthernNet facility, a separate 100mb connection will enable filmmakers, video game developers, architects and anyone who works with large content to send material electronically in seconds. Woodend also aims to be the power behind Scarborough’s aim to be the first wholly wi-fi’d town in the UK.
